The following conditions are supplementary to our General Terms and Conditions and applicable should our school be instructed by the local authorities to temporarily close or a regional outbreak of COVID-19 prevents or restricts travel.
Where possible we will work with our partners and third-party providers to reduce any cancellation fees otherwise stated in the General Terms and Conditions.
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
If you are unable to travel due to Covid restrictions:
Tuition
No charges for changed, postponed, or cancelled tuition.
Accommodation
No charges for changed, postponed, or cancelled accommodation.
We kindly ask that you postpone!
POST ARRIVAL (In-House Students)
Tuition
Students will have the option to receive their lessons online via one or a combination of the following options: i) virtual online group lessons ii) individual private lessons iii) remote group work and iv) self-study.
OR
Students will be credited with a Credit Voucher for any complete, unused weeks to be used for the same course and accommodation (subject to availability) of the same value - high season rates will apply.
Accommodation
Host family: students will be credited with a Credit Voucher for any complete, unused weeks with at least one week’s notice of cancellation. No charge for postponement.
Adult Self-Catering Residence: students will be credited with a Credit Voucher for any complete, unused weeks with at least one week’s notice of cancellation. No charge for postponement.
JUNIOR Residence (Bella Vista Hotel): students will be credited with a Credit Voucher voucher for any complete, unused weeks with at least one week’s notice of cancellation. No charge for postponement.
Certain accommodation options i.e Hotels may be subject to alternative cancellation charges. Refer to the General Terms and Conditions and contact your Maltalingua representative.
Students having to isolate/quarantine during their stay
If for any reason a student is ordered by local health authorities to self-isolate or quarantine the following applies:
Students will receive online instruction until they are able to return to face-to-face instruction. Students may be asked and/or instructed to move to alternative accommodation to ensure they are able to follow local self-isolation/quarantine policies, which may incur additional costs over and above the original accommodation booking (cost). These costs must be borne by participants at their own expense. There are no refunds or credits if a student loses part of their original accommodation package. If a student needs to be accommodated independently for a period of time after completing their course, an additional accommodation booking will be required at the student's own expense. Additional costs may be incurred, e.g. meals, private tests, and transfers. Students may return to their original accommodation booking as soon as the local health authorities permit.
Credit Vouchers
Once the Credit Voucher has been redeemed there are no refunds or credits offered. Credit Vouchers are transferable only to immediate family members including siblings and parents and may not be refunded or exchanged for cash.
